Verification levels and Source of facial biometric verification

The primary face for verification is the individual’s face, followed by faces from federal authority records like the Emirates ID (EID) or passport. These government records are either issued or received through government systems. The PF, DF, and DM error codes describe different scenarios for facial verification:
  • PF (Primary Face): This represents the individual’s face stored in federal authority records. If the face is absent in these records, the system will use the document portrait from federal authority records as a substitute. In this scenario, the Facial biometric has been done with data registered within government records.
  • DF (Document Face): In cases where the federal authority records have the latest data, but the face and document is missing/corrupt in the records. UAE KYC Toolkit uses the portrait face of document scanned during the Journey.
  • DM (Missing Record and Face): This occurs when both the ICP records and the face are missing for an individual. In such cases, Facial biometric between selfie image and the document portrait is considered. This scenario applies only when nonVisitorOnboarding is enabled for the organization and journey.
